Manhattan

Flatiron

The only neighborhood named after a specific building, this slice of life on the eastern border of Chelsea has known many references in addition to the iconic triangular Flatiron Building: the Photo District and most recently “Silicon Alley” have all been here, drawn by abundant square footage and lofts. With the beautifully renovated Madison Square Park at its heart, this area is dominated by loft conversions, with modern developments cropping up around many corners. Fantastic shopping and dining on 5th Avenue, and a quick walk to the bounty of Union Square’s Greenmarket are perennial attractions.
